9750 Bios Update

i received the bios update from sager and followed the instructions and yet i still can't get my bios to flash.....i unzipped and sent to a cdrw.......
HERE IS WHAT WAS SENT......ANY IDEAS WHAT IM MISSING ?

Please download the attached file 975bv06sg.zip.
Unzip the file to your hard drive.

The file 975bv06sg.iso is the image of a bootable disk with all the
files
for updating the system BIOS.

Burn the 975bv06sg.iso to a CDR or CDRW disc.

Use the disc to boot the computer to flash the system BIOS.

After the system BIOS flashed, enter the system configuration utility
(CMOS
setup) to disable the SATA RAID mode in the Advanced chipset control
menu if
the system was configured on ATA mode.

so after you burn the disc leave it in the cd rom and reboot. startup and hit f2....change the boot order in the bios to boot form cd first. save and exit...reboot

it should say after post "booting from cd" and i'm assuming it will boot into a small flash bios program to rewrite the bios.

I hope you did not just copy the file to CDRW. It needs to be burnt to CD by a program that can read a iso file and burned as an image not just a file copy.

I could use that too. How typical of people to want help but to not want to help others.

Talking

I updated my BIOs on my 9750 last night.

Just send a quick email to Sager Tech support. I sent one with my BIOS version and date. Six hours later I had a reply with an attachment.
Go on, be bold. Just ask.

I e-mailed Sager last night requesting the latest bios. One tech sent me 975bv105. If you click the .ISO, the date is 3/24. While flashing the date is 1/11/06 and that's the date CPUZ shows. Another tech sent me 975bv07s 6 hours later. Clicking the .ISO shows a date of 5/24/06. While flashing, it shows a date of 4/06/06 which is also what CPUZ shows. I'm currently running this as the so called latest bios. I've e-mailed Sager for clarification.

975bv06sg shows a date of 4/6/06 when the .ISO is hiighlighted. I'm 98% sure 07s is the very latest. If Sager responds, I'll let ya know.

That was fast!!! I received an answer in 1 hour. 975bv07s is the very latest. The 07 is short for 1.07. Happy flashing everyone!
