FX7 with RAID0

For what it's worth - the default stripe size is 64k for RAID0 stripes on the FX7 (and a lot of others). Normally that's a great overall size, but on notebook HD's it's abysmal compared to a 16k stripe

I reformatted over the weekend with a 16k stripe and HD snappiness is far better than it was on a 64k stripe. And it hasn't impacted big transfers either.

hmmm funny when i reformatted a few months back i dont remember seeing the stripe size in the options but then again i have an ex7.

It's in the RAID bios. I had to recreate my array.
