Battle field 2 or battle field 2 special forces? which one has more players?

which one of these gets more players? or is it kinda like CS:S and CS 1.6, where its pretty equal on both?

I'm relatively sure bf2 (non SF) has more players, but if you can afford both do it because you will get second-tier unlocks via Special Forces, and some cool maps.

After getting SF, thats all I play now. I love the maps. Warlord is one of my favorites. :-)

If you look at the amount of servers 900+ for regular BF2/Euro forces and less than 100 for SF it is obvious that there will be more players in BF2/Euro than SF. If I were you I would purchase both SF and Euro Forces. The unlocks are worth it! Some of the maps absolutely rock!

You must purchase BF2 in order to play SF. SF is an expansion.

I'm not sure I really understand your question. I have both games. You have to install BF2 before SF, since it's an expansion pack. I'd install both games and then do the patching last. I don't play very much of either game. I play more CoD 2 right now. There's a lot of people on both.

BF2: SF is more of an infantry oriented expansion. The maps are very oriented towards indoors and tight urban gun battles.

SF is also much cooler, especially with grappling hooks and zip lines... Wheeeee!!!!

I'm on Admin for a BF2 SF Server. We found we have a higher user count when loading SF maps vs BF2 maps.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-comfficeffice" /><o></o>
<o></o>
Also we took the night maps out of the rotation as we would drop people when a night map would load then jump back to the max when a day map came back on.<o></o>
<o> </o>
Question for you guys using BF2 on a laptop. I bought an XPS system and BF2/SF always loads in a window and I can’t force a full screen.<o></o>
<o> </o>
Is there a way to fix that??<o></o>

Add this to your shortcut with desired resolution

+menu 1 +widescreen 1 +szx 1440 +szy 900 +modPath mods/xpack +ignoreAsserts 1

and do NOT edit the videosettings, if you do so, you have to restart the game.

I play battlefleid 2, when I get tired of it I will end up buying the expansions.

Whoever said CS 1.6 and CS:S go hand in hand, I belive you may be wrong.

Counter-Strike [1.6] 82,260
Counter-Strike Source 30,304

80 thousands vs 30 thousand, that's a big difference.
