Macbook pro hard drive

I have a macbook pro 2.16, 100GB (7200rpm). Does anybody know what brand of hard drives apple uses. Mine seems noticably slower (really slower) than my 5400rpm on my other computer. Is there a program that I can use (OS X or Windows) to check my hard drive's specs and health? Thanks

click on the apple, then "about this mac", then "more info". if the brand isn't listed u an most likely google the model number that comes up.

It will either be a Seagate or an Hitachi, these are the only two manufacturers making 100gig 7200rpm drives.
