Well??? How is it?

Unfortunately, the day after I posted this another person on the team ended up tendering their resignation, so I inherited their laptop rather than getting a new one.

It's an HP Compaq nw8440 Mobile Workstation. It's not bad, overall, but I certainly wouldn't have chosen it for myself, and the screen is a piece of junk with a bunch of dim spots. I'm probably going to call HP support and see if I can get it replaced. But, it's a temporary solution anyway -- I should be able to get a D620 (or whatever has replaced it) the way I want it come next summer.

Well... Ive just upgraded my laptop (again) from a 620 WSXGA+ 1.83core duo with GMA 950 to a D620 2gig Core2Duo with the 9 cell batt, and the Quadro.. The screen is definately better (i had my previous one replaced twice) the cpu runs cooler, and using NHC to drop the voltage and keep the cpu at 1gig i can get about 5 hours from the 9 cell battery
