This has got to be one of the most decked out systems that I have seen. You didn't get the OS and Office package like Dragon King, but you did go with the external drive, keyboard and mouse. Very nice setup.

One quick note - do you have home owners insurance or renter's insurance where you are at? I ask because if you do, your insurance policy may already cover the accidental damage protection. I have USAA and I know they do cover it. I am not trying to stop you from getting major coverage for your system, as I always preach this is a must. But I do want to make sure you are not double paying for the same coverage. If your policy doesn't cover this - than you are fine.

That being said - congrats on the order! I hope everything goes well and since you are not getting a painted system, hopefully it will be a fast delivery!

Payment went through today, finally. It seems that some cards only allow a maximum amount to be charged per day, so I called my bank and had them up the limit.

My first ship date given me is: June 1st!

Bring it on! I cannot wait!

No. I traded the $300 of custom paint for the 3 Year Accidental Damage Protection. To me the insurance of keeping my new rig healthy for the next three years was worth more than my vanity. Besides the default steel look is pretty cool anyway. But, I do concede that it is a sacrifice. Some of those colors are very pretty... After I got past the $5000 mark I just couldn't bring myself to go $300 more.

I have to agree...whats under the hood is more important than the looks, I may after awhile opt to get mine painted...thinking about a custom Confederate Graphics..maybe Robert E Lee and Stonewall Jackson on their horse side by side...with a battle scene in the background...being a member of Sons Of Confederate Vetrans...I have acess to a whole varity of Confederate paintings and graphics.....I wopuldnt want just the Confederate Battle Flag on it......or seeing how people up here always get me to build their desktops an repair their systems.......I may sell it after Vista is released and just have a new system built and this time have the paint and graphics...this all depends on how well my system performs and what problems I have if I have any at all...Intel is stepping things up and finaly even looking at making parts dedicated to the gaming pc industry...something they should have been doing a long time ago.....I guess theu were happy keeping Dell going....even Dell hasnt realy gone after the gamers untill a few years ago....now they all are seeing that gamers and gaming systems have been hot items for many years......

My system hasnt shipped yet...was suppose to ship tuesday but didnt .....Alison told me yesterday it was being benchmarked and may ship friday...I sure hope so...that means I could have it saturday...I did get the overnight shipping......she couldnt tell me the reason why it didnt ship tuesday which was the original ship date......I am disapointed on that....I thgought I would have it by now......well maybe it will go out tommorrow..if not its gonna be a long weekend...........

I used to think like that about the paint before I had a painted notebook. However, it is one of those things that once you go painted, it is hard to go back. Both my EX7 (Reflexxion Series Python Special Edition Piercing Blue) and my EX6 (Reflexxion Series Fire Mist Pearl) are painted as were my last 2 systems before that.

However, I do agree that the standard silver / charcoal color of the EX7 and FX7 looks nice.

since I have never owned nor know anyone who owned a hypersonic....I realy didnt want to put that much into a first time machine.....if this machine holds up to the raves and reviews ...I would on my next one go for the paint and graphics....like I mentioned I would go for a civil war graphic background......right now I am disapointed that it hasnt shipped yet and I cant get any details online since they changed their customer support page....I have spoke with Alison a few times this week although she couldnt give me any real explanations....well she told me yesterday it was being benchmarked and she would try to do her best to get it shipped today...so far no new news....Alison seems like a real sweet lil lady....
I was realy hoping to get it today or tommorrow and then load Call Of Duty 2 and play it this weekend...and also play Far Cry again...those two games will tell me just how well this system performes./......if it dont go out today then it wont be untill the end of next week when I get it...damn and this being a long weekend and I have no plans to do or go anywhere so I was looking forward to putting it through its paces........oh well today aint over yet...maybe I will get an email with the tracking number before it does end......some how I doubt it

Being you I will use either dgma.jpg or Rebelyell.jpg. There is a kind of symmetry in these themes which will look great on the lid of your machine :-)

yup those 2 are my favorites also..my kin fought for the confederacy in the Army Of Northern Virginia and I am a big Civil War Buff just as My mom was captured by Nazi's in WW-II Lithuania / Poland and taken to Buchenwald Nazi Slave Labor and Death Camp..she wasnt Jewish so she was in the slave labor section of the camp..she was 17 years old at the time and living along the Lithuania/Poland Border on her parents farm..her dad..my grandfather was in the polish army...they killed him and took the rest of the family to camps...she never saw any of them again...thats a reason why I love playing games of that era...I love killin Nazi's and I am also a WW-II European Campaign history buff

Mom Met Dad In Germany.......I was Born In Germany...raised up in Virginia from the time I was 2 years old......
