You are browsing within the review sections of our forums. Content within these sections reflect consumer opinions of laptops. Our admins take the best and most objective laptop reviews and index them here to create a distinct selection of quality reviews with averaged overall ratings. Many of these reviews have benchmarks attached to them which allows for users to compare their laptop's performance with others, and ultimately enables us to provide a sortable list which at a glance show the fastest laptops amongst a variety of applications (gaming, video editing, web browsing, etc...). Help us build a better laptop database by submitting your laptop review.

Great review. I also hate all the BLOATWARE Dells preinstalls on their systems. That was my major reason for installing Vista. I have been really happy with both of my Dell laptops. My Compaq has been a great computers also. My wife uses it for internet, MS Office and online classes.

I have a E1505 6400 that i have worked on for a few years
specs
processor/T7600G 2.33-3.18GHz
Video/Ati x1400 modded drivers
hardrive/samsung 500 GB hardrive 5400 rpm
ram/ ocz0084gk 4GB 800 fsb runing 400mhz

system runns at regular settings no overclocking
i have only over clocked it once and so i feel that it does not need to be over clocked because of the power i've seen
vista ranks
processor/5.2
ram/5.2
video/3.8
gameing/3.8
hardrive/5.6

games runing on it
full blast means at the highest video settings

Battlefield 2 runs on. full blast.
halo. full blast.
dawn of war. full blast.
dawn of war dark crusade/ full blast.
dawn of war winter assult/ full blast.
dawn of war soulstorm/ full blast.
dawn of war 2 near full blast shadows cause problems and cannot render some pixils.
Halo 2/ full blast except for a big blood spot that you create by smashing elites face in and tons of gernades.
command and conquer first decade/Full blast.
battle field 1942/ full blast.
Playstation 2 emulators games/ only at 640x640 resolution so far...
Nintendo emulator games/ full blast
counterstrike/ full blast

I have tons of games still but i feel as if this is enough to say i love the x1400
I love my e1505 6400 i have out beat alot of new computers yet i must do more to it
i am a e1505 freak i have 4 of them
3 e1505 6400's and 1 e1505

i'd love to test a x1600 on one of them
However the x1400 i have does not work well in low settings it must be all full blast just about or there is major lag.....
