battery charging

it seems like it takes a long time to charge when the system is even if its at idle...is this normal...also Hypersonics utility that checks CPU speed..Temps...and battery charging..show chargers output at 0....well acualy its shows charge rate at 0...this dont seem right...does it work with the EX7..it shows CPU speed and temps very well it dont show hd temps but I know that not all hard drives has the chip that transmit temps..some seagates do my wd raptors dont..so I figure thats normal..but the battery charge rate.....I am just going thru this system before I realy write a review........I have to finish a few reviews one is at the game developers site where I am a regular tester..if you like WW-II first person shooters they have a killer one commin first of 2007 I love killin Nazi's...cant say anything more or even who they are because of NDA and they havent released that they even are working on a new game yet ....but it will be a killer game

I dont get paid for this but I do get some fringe benifits,,,

I never used the utility for the battery, so I can't tell you on that one. But I would definitely ring up tech support and see what they have to say. It could be that the utility doesn't detect the battery properly (if it is mobmeter, it isn't specifically written for a system). Not sure.

Hypersonic has a utility to measure battery charge rate? Where can I find it? MobMeter won't read mine but I've always been curious. Did thhis program come with your Hypersonic or is it on one of the discs or something?

Yeah, it won't read charge rate. I'm probably going to email Hypersonic and see if they have a way to do it. I want to be able to keep track of the health of my batteries, as I drain them quite frequently.

with all the power those systems use...they should come up with a better battery that would last ...well...at least 2 hrs......depending on what I am doing..if the fans speed up..the battery life drops fast..but I knew this going into buying the system..my wifes qosmio even with a centrino cpu, because of the power drops fast also.....these are definatly not laptops you want to get to far from power outlet with...we have a converter in our durango...so they can be charged up while on trips..I am also looking for a laptop cooler..saw one that uses heat pipe tech...with no fans or power...I understand how it works...but aint convinced it will do well enough on these machines...thats one thing hyprsonic should look into...finding and testing coolers..and if they find one that does work they should offer it...I belive they would sell real well.......
