No, there was not a beep code. The LCD lit up, and then it all powered off. It was as if there was a short or something. At first I thought I screwed my laptop and or 7800go for sure. So I quickly put the 7800go back in the e1705 and it worked perfectly. I know the power requirements for the 7800go is more than that of the x600 that is currently in my system. That was the conclusion that I had come to. I just thought it didn’t have enough power. I know to get the GTX working you had to do some bios mods / volt mods to get it to work. If anything the 7900gs should have a better chance at working since its power requirements are much lower. The 7800 is like 40 watts and the 7900gs is about 25. I think it may even be lower than the x600 but dont quote me on it. As far as 2 gb and keyboard... i never got that far.
