New 1705 on its way
Ok dokey after having a $2700 sager 5760 for about 2 weeks and having nothing but issues with it, i decided to send it back and buy from a more well known company. So i turned to Dell and ordered a pretty decked out e1705. 2ghz core duo, 2gb 667 ddr2 ram, 60gb 7200 rpm hdd (i have a 300gb external so space isnt an issue), tv tuner, bluetooth (sager's bluetooth drivers "sucked ma balls" as kyle would put it), and the wuxga+ (i wished they offered a wsxga+ screen). And finally a 7900gs.... all for $2054 (after taxes and shipping). Now from what ive read the 7900gs in the e1705 is HIGHLY oc'able, however im having trouble locating just exactly how to go about doing that SAFELY on this notebook. Im used to overclocking on a desktop where all you need is cool bits but unfurtunately a desktop isnt feasable for me right now (going to college in august). So my request is could someone point me in the right direction on how to oc the 7900gs, i heard there is a boot iso with a bunch of pre made bioses on it, can someone show me a download link? WOW THIS IS LONG...SORRY

Congrats on the purchase!
Yes, the 7900 is a beast, but you need Joker's Boot ISO first. You can find lots of info and the file itself here: http://www.notebookforums.com/thread157393.html Pretty easy to do. Just burn the ISO to a bootable CD, hit F12 at startup, select boot from CD/DVD, then select the second option (max memory). Select your desired ROM image and then flash. Very easy to do.

Not really necessary unless you are doing huge overclocks.
