Hi, I'm a newbie in need of some serious help.

GF has been given the above laptop for general web browsing and email. Not exactly earth shattering performance i know, but it will suit her needs for the time being. It was running painfully slow so I suggested a re-install and an update of all the drivers. God knows how but she's half attempted this and in the process totally screwed up the laptop, wont boot or anything.

It came with 3 Acer branded recovery CD's, labelled RD.A5107.002, but there is nothing but image files on them an laptop wont boot from them.

Have had a good search through other posts on here but can't find a solution.

Can anyone help and stop the ear bending I'm getting for just suggesting the re-install!?
