Help - Sony VGN-S260 not detecting battery
I use a VGN-s260. it has worked fine for 1 1/2 years. but today I noticed that the power icon on the bottom right side has changed. It is now indicating that I am on AC power only, and it does not detect my battery anymore. The battery has worked fine all this time, and always lasted 3+ hours. I just used it last week, so it's not like it's slowly deteriorating. I unplug my AC adapter and my power goes out, just like if no battery was present. Does anyone know whats going on or how to fix this?

I have the exact same problem. Don't really know how to fix and my 1 year warranty conveniently ran out just a month prior...
