Utilities

I wish Hypersonic would come up with some utilities like Toshiba includes in their laptops......my wifes Qosmio has a utility that allows you to adjust fans sppeds.....it also allows you to set the cpu speed.......the way it does the cpu is you either choose that the laptop will adjust the cpu with battery life....as the battery gets low it will lower the clock speed and also dim the screen..this is suppose to help save battery life....then you can also choose to set it to run wide open all the time....this keeps the cpu from throttling down and keeps the screen from diming...there are other settings also...the only setting I have is in the bios on my EX7 and thats to choose weither to allow fans to run all the time or to allow them to be thermaly controlled...I keep my fans on all the time....they dont run wide open all the time..they do change speeds...I would love to have them run wide open all the time while playing games....I have a few gripes about Hypersonics EX7.s but all in all its still a nice system...would I buy another..not sure as of yet...I feel they are still lacking somewhat.........I am doing research on building a laptop from scratch......when vista comes out ...sometime next year I want to build a killer Intel desktop and a laptop.............I would consider another Hypersonic laptop if Hypersonic would come out with some tweaking abilities either in the Bios or VIA some sort of utility........I think Voodoo Computers do install a tweaking utility in their laptops......This EX7 will do me fine untill I either build or purchase another laptop...I wont buy anymore desktops..I will always build my own for now on......I build and repair desktops up here in my area for a bunch of folks....Sheriff...Judge.....co-workers and others...I have been sorta putting a computer business for a year now...I did have a small building built on my land to do this in.....but I do it part time...have to keep my job for insurance and benifits..maybe oneday I will be able to do this full time....I dont advertise...word of mouth is what gets me business...but If I can ever learn or find someone who could build me a web-site I would then advertise...I may put an add in the paper around october and maybe an add in the telephone book...right now I build about 2-5 a month...reapir many....just got done with 1 laptop and 1 desktop from the same person ...as long as thing are running smooth at work ...the plant manager dont mind me doing this on company time...hell I fix his for free...well he pays for parts..labor is free...sweet trade -off.......so thats another reason why I am researching laptops........even contacted clevo...they finaly sent me a response yesterday with who I need to contact here in the USA to be able to purchase directly from them and sell them with my name on it...it took clevo 2 months to respond..but I had to email asia.....oh well...maybe one day..I can be my own boss again...even though I am sorta of my own boss at work...I only answer to the plant manager......a partner would be great...special one who could build a nice professional web site to sell computers.....I havent come up with a name yet...thought about .....High Tech Redneck Computers........I wanted to use the name Asylum, but BFG Industries has it locked up for anything to do with computers..I e-mailed and spoke on the phone with them and they wouldnt let me use it...even if I would only use their video cards...that sux......but I am still looking and thinking...My wife sugested ..Southern Computer Systems....I thought about Rebel Computer Systems...but that would probably put the NAACP on my arse.......and limit the customer base.....12 years ago I did own my own electrical service company...had a 65 foot bucket truck and specialized in high rise lighting...parking lot lights..signs..and specialized /custom lighting........I love and enjoy doing just about anything with computers so a business in building High End machines would be fun and more of an enjoyment that work...laptops are where I realy have to research..repairing them is nothing...building is another thing........

OK I ranted enough..must be the pain pill I took an hour ago........I have screws in my back and have to take them once in awhile...they just kicked in.. .... .... ....
