Hi good people,
Well I got a problem with my CD Drive. The last time it work was last week. I watched a movie with it. since then, it fails to read any CD inserted into it. My warranty expired so I cannot send it back now. You can assist me by answering the ff questions: 1. can I replace the entire drive? 2. Can it be done by myself? 3. It's a slim drive. Can i get any slim type of drive to replace it? Thanks. -------------------------------- Kwame Ellis Brown kwamebrown29@aol.com |

Yes, the entire drive can be replaced. The drive is simple to replace, it's just one screw and the drive will come out, on the bottom it's a silver screw with a 5 pointing to it. Any drive could probably fit but the drive's cover will probably be different.
