Well, I did notice today that something on my S96J screwed up from the BIOS update - the integrated camera no longer works. It just displays a gray screen. I have reinstalled it (just using the drivers on the CD) and when that didn't work I also tried it with an update that microsoft update found, but that didn't work either. Can any other S96j/Z96j users see if they have this issue post-BIOS update?

Because some drivers need to be re-install after BIOS update, just insert the CD and browse the disk and go to \Camera\Bison\setup.bat.

You'll need to email them for beta BIOS when it's available, what I did was request BIOS update for V1J from Asus North America and they send the request to Taiwan, Asus Taiwan will send BETA BIOS to V1J's release country when it's available, so I won't have it neither Asus North America.

the BIOS 1100 is actually 0901, the only difference is the VGA BIOS, so the official release of 1100 will be just the same as BETA BIOS.

Well, i've done that...more than once, and still the gray screen. I guess I'm the only person experiencing this?

You're sure you're using the correct driver? I think two come on the CD and one of them won't work.

I had uninstalled the camera awhile back when I was pulling down new drivers and trying to fix the grainy issue, and haven't reinstalled it yet. I'll try it tonight or tomorrow and let you know if I can get it to work with the new BIOS.

Silly question, but you did use it before installing the new BIOS and haven't made any other changes, right?

I'm using the correct drivers (the BisonCam, not the D-Max). Not such a silly question, but yes, I did use it and it worked fine. I'm aware that some people have had this same problem and that it had nothing to do with the BIOS (because it wasn't out then) - and that the fix is supposed to be to reinstall the driver on the CD, but for me it doesn't seem to be working.

You sure you run Setup.bat not setup.exe?

Yup. I ran the batch file.

Again, not the biggest deal in the world, but it will drive me nuts until I figure out what's wrong with it, because that's just the type of person I am.
