Yeah, its absolutely gone from FEAR as well as any other game. I thought it was very apparent in Oblivion at night time (especially using Natural Environments mod) - it looked sometimes like your face was pressed up against a screen door, but now it is crystal clear. All is right with the world.

Wow, the issue is all gone! Thanks a ton Ken. The only problem is now I can see how dusty my screen really is.

You have to "fix" that yourself, I request Asus to fix that as well and they refused.

I hope that the bios for W3J will be avaiable soon. I'm a asus client for years and it's the first time that i have problems with a laptop.

I bought the W3J with a "Vista Ready" label on it and I found that the vista betas cannot be installed because the Bios had some bug... Then i found that the image sucks because the Bios had some bug also and finally i found that the Meron cpu will work only with a Bios update!

Too long waiting for a Bios update... (3 months...)

Better luck for S96j owners....

Regards to all

Ken, I wish everyone had service like this, I am definitely going to consider your company when I buy my next laptop. Sadly I have an Acer 8204 so the bios fix is not for me, but I am going to bother Acer all I can.

I find this reflects extremely well on Asus as the company doesn't just dazzle with specs and prices, but also takes after-sales support seriously. Some manufacturers are not interested in driver updates after the initial sales...

Just curious, does your TM8204 has a VGA BIOS version inside the NB BIOS just like Asus notebooks? if it does, what version is it?

As far as I know, Acer doesn't make their notebooks anymore, it's a manufacture in Taiwan make it for them and I don't remember the name of the company, Acer will probably have to request the BIOS update from the maker and I am sure they will do it since Asus can do it.

hehe, it was $104.99 after the RAM price hike, otherwise it would have been on $74.99
