charging battery help
I think my battery or charger may be going and maybe thats why I have been having performane problems......ok...first from completly dead it take hours to charge up 100% and thats with the case closed and shut down..takes about 4 hours...now with it on and only useing the net it takes all day to get 100% chrged...about 6 hrs......and from fully chatged to dead takes about 45 minutes when doing nothing but surfing the net....any other ex7 owners could tell me how long those take on your machine........
thanks |

Sounds like the battery to me. You can go to HERE for an evaluation copy of a Battery Monitor. After installing go to the "info"->"Battery Information" pull down menus and you should get a list of the batteries capabilities. This will include the Capacity in mAh (milli-Amp-hours). THe Capacity is listed as "Design Capacity", "Full Charge Capacity" and "Current Capacity". If you are showing a "green" full charge indication and these 3 capacities do not match, then get a replacement. The battery might be able to be refreshed but it will eventually fade again.
Hope this helps. |
