IF you lower the LCD brightness and use the lappy just for web browsing you could probably get around 2+ hrs.

Yang:
I really enjoyed seeing your entry. I am on the cusp of buying an Alienware - Area 51 5750 and am in the process of deciding. I need some reassurance that the model and manufacturer are solid. See, I am in Calgary, Canada, and if there are issues, it will be difficult, to say the least, to ship this back and forth. Any thoughts. Specifically, the model and features that I have found to be of most interest are: Product Detail ![]() ![]() [1] Area-51® m5750 Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T7200 2.0GHz 4MB Cache 667MHz FSB Operating System (Office software not included): Genuine Windows® XP Media Center Edition 2005 with Service Pack 2 - With Media Center Remote Control Display: Alienware® m5750 17" WideXGA+ 1440 x 900 LCD - Saucer Silver Motherboard: Alienware® Intel® 945PM + ICH7 Chipset Memory: 2GB Dual Channel DDR2 SO-DIMM at 667MHz - 2 x 1024MB System Drive: Single Drive Configuration - 100GB Serial ATA 1.5Gb/s 7,200 RPM w/ NCQ & 8MB Cache Primary CD ROM/DVD ROM: 8X Dual Layer DVD+/-RW / 24X CD-RW Combo w/Software Video/Graphics Card: 256MB ATI Mobility™ Radeon® X1800 Sound Card: Intel® 7.1 High-Definition Audio Wireless Network Card: Internal Intel® PRO Wireless 3945 a/b/g Mini-Card Communications: Integrated 10/1000Mb Gigabit Ethernet & 56K V.92 Modem Warranty: 2-Year AlienCare Toll-Free 24/7 Phone Support w/ Onsite Service Alienware Exclusive Offers: 10% off your next EB Games online purchase - Offer Valid Online Only Alienware Exclusive Offers: GameFly - Unlimited Game Rentals for 15 days - FREE TRIAL ![]() ![]() Close Window |

Nice pics, Yang. It's a sweet set up and I really like how it's a pro at multitasking. Have you done any video editing on it?
Is this just a thread for pictures, or do you have a separate, more detailed review? Oh btw.... Nice shot of Megatron/Transformers playing in WMP! Do you have any pics of the TV tuner? Last edited by Enjoi; 10-17-2006 at 04:11 PM. |
