Help please!! Acer Aspire 5630 Bluetooth

My bluetooth is not working for some reason, can someone suggest a reason for this? The error message I gotten was something like, this "Make sure your bluetooth RADIO is turned on", how do I turn on the bluetooth radio?

And when i try to edit my BIOS, for enabling infrared port, it won't let me! Is this issue connected to my BT device? Cause my laptop cannot detect the bluetooth device, someone please help!

Thanks, in advance.

usually it is a function combination key or a button
would u check ur invoice to be sure that the machine gor delivered with BT installed? the smallprint "optional" can be quite fatal

can u see the port (active) in device manager? - if yes, u might need a 3rd party software in order to use (do something with) it - app that comes with the cell/mobilephone/handy ....

cheers ...

GODAMMIT! I hate those futureshop "experts", they told me this laptop had bluetooth enabled, infact the ox said for wireless LAN, they had Intel Pro/Wireless 3945ABG, but when I looked at the system, it was some wireless card instead of intel pro.

Is there any way to check for sure if you have bluetooth or not?

Bluetooth is not listed in the system specs for the 5630, at least not on the US version

Actually, on mine (CDN one..dunno if there's a difference), there IS BT. No infrared included, but BT is there.

As for turning it in, there should be two switches on the front panel ofthe laptop. The one on the left-most side, sliding it to the left, activates BT (sliding it to the right activates the [non-existant] 3G device). The one beside it, sliding it to the left (only way to slide it) activates the WLAN.
