m9700 Benchmarks

Well, now that I have had my m9700 for a couple of weeks I think I am ready to say some things about it...

Specs here.

About the only thing I can think of is: I love it!

Runs all my games quite nicely. Not a single issue yet!

Benchmarks: I did some exstensive benchmarking right after I recieved it.. Here are the results:

3dMark03

3dMark05

3dMark06

Code Creatures

AquaMark

F.E.A.R. Default

F.E.A.R. Max

I also ran Prey, Doom 3 and Quake 4 with similar results as F.E.A.R.

Needless to say, I am very pleased with the performance.

Last one I ran is CiniBench 2003 and something they use just slams any machine I have had it on.

Looks good! I'm a little surprised at your 3DMark06 score...I got 10040 with similar specs in '05, but 5740 in '06...

I don't think this is a big deal, as benchmarks don't necessarily equate to FPS in games in more than a relative sense. Just curious.

Do both of you use the same drivers? Maybe it could suggest that Shazza's drivers are more future geared?

I'd guess it was something in the drivers as well...or some other setting that is different and not overriden during the benchmarking. I got 5700 with the stock 84.74 or other drivers that came with the m9700. I get 5300 with the newer 93.71 driver - but also get a corresponding drop of 400 points in '05...
