Turnip311 is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
Does anyone know if this can be done on a toshiba 7900gs? Everywhere I look it seems that it won't. I just wanted to double check to see if someone with more OC knowledge than me knew if the Toshiba Nvidia Bios could be changed. I personally have a p105 s9339 laptop.

thanks,

sorry it's off topic.

our thread applies to the Dell cards only. it is a differnt BIOS. You would have to look on the Toshiba forums for assistance.

have you checked NV overclocking tools to see if the BIOS on it is even locked?

Other than not being made yet, what's the reason there's no memory optimized flash for the revision 1 boards?

You need to burn the .iso file a different way than a data cd. Use a CD-R and burn the .ISO by selecting an option like 'Write disc from ISO file' (CDBurnerXP) or 'Burn Image' (Nero).

first of all, check if you have VBIOS version 05.71.22.28.01. (if you have a new 9400 you have this version, means you gone use Rev.1 flash.

1. burn the ISO file on a CD-R disc, use Nero (image function)

2. boot the computer with the disc, (press F12 when you see the Dell mark, choose DVD/CD-RW)

3. type: nvflash 791gsunn.rom

4. press enter

5. press Y

6. reboot the computer (manual with the on/off button)

7. done

ps. the 791gsunn flash is best to start with, later you can flash with 791gsunv (1.24 volt) if you want to get more power to the card.

good luck

Nice of you to post the steps for Jacquesy82 but he stated he has the 7900gtx not a gs card. Therefore he should be trying 790GTXUO.ROM.

juanlu206 ok sense i upgraded to this bios for the 7800gtx seems like i might of lost performence and also when on ac it goes from max 3d normal than 5sec later low 3d than another 5sec later this is when it sits and this never did this befor.

and i think this is teh problem causeing the slowness. also when i overclock seems like i could keep on overclocking rigth now im at 430 and 1200mem which befor itw hould of showed artfects i also tried 450 than 1200 than teh fps on atitool went down to 100fps from 400fps which is odd.

also my temps is alot cooler which is not right befor i could get up to 105 well gaming now it ony hits 60s and max 80s in games even overclocked.

The performance table lock isnt exclusive to dell laptops...upload your bios here and I'll take a look...that is if your card is actually locked
