How to turn off Atheros wireless adapter client?
We just don't seem to get along with Atheros wireless adapter client software. Two friends have bought 2 separate Fujitsu models and both come with an Atheros adapter, and we have problems with it connecting to our Buffalo wireless router on Windows boot. I'm fairly certain the client software has been configured correctly since it does connect to the router on occasions, but other times we have to physically turn the radio off and on again before it can connect. No improvement to the situation even after upgrading to the latest driver and software - it just doesn't seem to want to detect and connect to the router!
Enabling and switching to Windows WZC client does help to resolve the problem, and I have disabled the client software to load on Windows start, but is this all I have to do to switch to using WZC permanently? Thanks.
