Dell tech support 0 help

So I have been having problems with my graphics card not working at 100% and freezes. 3dmark scores of <5k. (m170 2ghz 7800gtx)

So after doing everything to fix the proformance of my graphics card and the freezes, i just decided to re-instal my operating system. Reformated, re-instaled os. Same problems. instaled drivers, graphics drivers. Tested and still same thing happened. Downloaded newer drivers off dells site (same problems). So then i go and spend 8 hours getting my computer 'how i like it' and installing everything back the way it used to be before the format.

So re-formating didnt help.
So after not wanting to deal with tech support cause if i dont know how to fix the problem i doubt they would I finally had some free time and called them. Told them what i have tried so far, etc. Then they tell me to re-install the operating system and i told them i just did it. They told me 'do it again'. and refused to talk to me any farther enless i reformated and re-installed and called them back up.

You have to keep trying with them, and hopefully one of the calls gets you connected with someone who knows what they are doing

but reinstall the OS, and try using ifnagui and get the temps as well, the more info you have the better

Good luck, Don't give up. and be persistant

i basically gave up before i started (ive had this problem for 3+ months before i called). And i do currently have ifangui on my system and its not a heat issue.

can anything good come out of me re-installing and calling them again?

Call again and say you've tried reinstalling now. You'll get it fixed.
