Dead Harddrive

The Hitachi 7k60E drive that came with my CQ6 appears to have died.. BIOS reads 0mb and when I took it out and hooked it up via an IDE to USB cable I couldn't feel it spin up.

I ordered my CQ6 in September 2005 so I guess my laptop is well past the Hypersonic warranty, but don't the harddrives come with a 3 or 5 year manufacturer's warranty?

Or am I completely on my own now?
