OldSage is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
How can I tell if the replaced MB is 9890?

Just got my laptop back fom RMA, it is running again, but also now has a scratch across the cover

Checking with cpu-z indicates the motherboard is a Clevo D900T rev A with a bios dated 08/28/2006.

Is this really the 9890MB? I only agreed to repair it if the new MB was used.

Thanks for any input.

Its printed on one of the bottom memory slots in your memory bay. You may have to remove your RAM sticks to see it.

I just had mine replaced too and it says rev. 6.2 which is the latest i believe

Thanks, found it as a sticker on the bottom DDR2 socket next to the HD bay. Says V6.2S.
Never would have guessed this to be the designator.

mine says ...
Board: CLEVO D900T Revision A
Serial Number: 400
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies LTD 6.00 06/19/2006

and it's a 9890 (so Sager tells me)

Do you mean it says that somewhere in the memory bay or in cpu-z? Either way from what i've read in this forum and from my own experience the way to tell your motherboard revision is from the memory bay.

I dont know why they had to put the sticker in there though... its not the most convenient of places...
