Gaming Mouse

I want to treat myself to a gaming mouse. Was considering the Logitech MX518. Any comments or recommendations?

the MX518 is what I use and it works great. I used a G5 for about 4 months and I liked it but it was the old model (only 1 side button) (MX518 has 2) but the NEW G5 has two side buttons.

I've never owned a razor mouse but from testing them out at bestbuy I think those are also comfortable and probably work great.

I have the G5, the only problem with it is it's scroll wheel...sort of a monstrosity in my opinion.

I have the razer copperhead and MX518, and I like the razer better because I have smaller hands. Plus the razer feels a little smoother then the MX518, probably because of the default 500 Hz polling rate.

g-7 worked wonders, no wires, 2 lith ion batteries, i had my recharger behind my computer, never had a lag, or sleep problem ever

if you dont get the g7, mx518 ftw, 2 side buttons owns all when going through weapon choices

I got the MX518 for my son a year ago at TigerDirect for $40 and he's still using it and loves it!

I used to be an avid MX518 user but recently made the switch to Razer. Having hated the designs of all previous Razer mice (Copperhead, Boomslang, Diamonback, Habu) I looked at a review of the Razer DeathAdder and I must say that it is hands down the best mouse on the market for gaming.

If you need an excellent review of the mouse: http://www.esreality.com/?a=post&id=1300293

Even though this is the best mouse out there, it does come at a premium but as you said you were going to "treat yourself", so here come the spoils!
