9890 Screen replacement question (Help)
My son decided my screen needed cleaning and broke it for me. Since I have to foot the bill for the replacement one I am wondering if the LG LP171WU1 (A4) 17" WUXGA screen will be a direct replacement for the LG LP171W02 (A4) WXGA screen I already have that's broken. I can sure use the extra space since I run mostly cad on this laptop. Basically will it drop right in or do I have to replace the video card (ATI X800), the inverter, and(or) the cable? I plan to just but it and install it myself since I have the whole thing apart in the past to repaint it and replace the motherboard. (Started as a 9860)
