KSMB has a few people on his/her side.
how safe is 1.24 volt, for go7900gs ?

like i wrote, how safe is it to use 1.24 volt for the go7900gs. use myself 1 volt , but want to try 1.24 volt for real. you guys who use 1.24 volt flash, how is it working ? (how long have you used it ? heat ? shorter battery, som strange things maybe, and soo on.....).

read about "Youldas" gs-card who have got some strange artifacts that he never seen before.
but i think he use GSX bios-flash. im only intersted to use "pure" go7900gs flash (790gsuov(1.24v) or 790gsuon(1v)).......

thanks

Kainco is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
If you have your 7900GS working without voltmod at 600 as your sign, why overvolting it? 600MHz is the sweetspot for the 7900GS.

Right now noone knows for sure if there is a change on the voltage the GS uses when you change the values on Nibitor, i tried using a voltmeter but i coulndt find the right place to mesure.... So if your card works fine at 550-600 leave it there.

Is it safe? Most likely...my ultra runs 1.38 V stock and the rest of the 7900 series runs 1.24 V and 1.32 V...There's no clear cut answer however...Has the card burned any houses down? Dont think so...Has the voltage caused any premature deaths in cards? I've heard of a few cases but it must be less than 5% of the people that have used the 1.24 V...Personally, I'd agree with others, the lower the voltage the better...Find some realistic clocks your gpu can run at and then lower the voltage
