A215-4697 XP Downgrade

So as many of us know the Vista is yet to be the great operating system it was supposed to be...so on my moms toshiba ive installed xp and managed to get everything working except this ridiculous Common Module trash from toshiba which is required for any advanced ACPI features, including dimming the LCD...has anyone else managed to install XP 100% on this laptop and managed to get the Common Modules installed?

I would be happy just to know the specks of your computer, I tried XP sp2 and found that most of the devices would not work correctly due to the lack of the correct drivers. Is there a model similar to this one that has XP drivers that work with this model?

Have you managed to have the wifi work properly? I haven't even tried to install the drivers I got for the common modules
