Toshiba A135-S4527 Vista to XP

I know a lot of people have had difficulties with finding drivers to convert their Toshiba notebooks from Vista to XP but i have read a lot of success stories on these forums for other Toshiba models.

Anyone have any idea or can point me into the right direction when installing XP on the Toshiba A135-S4527. It would help me out a lot and would be greatly appreciated.

the best thing to do is to list out all ur devices (manufacturer/model) descriptions. u can get this by reviewing ur devices manager. from there u should be able to go direct to the manu sites and get the appropriate OS drivers

it helps us when u have the exact description within ur system in search of driver also

cheers ...

I have an Satellite A135-S4656 and went to XP. Got the sound and video okay. Cannot locate network card or modem support to save my life. I've been all over the web including Toshiba's European support site. Called support - they don't support XP on this particular model. Let me know if you have any luck please!

hello :
I brought same PC and can understand your frustration ,windows vista is ok but fro iGB ram and small system not ok. here what you do, it is very easy :
1. make sure you have driver for ether adapter, search for 10/100 base TX card driver ,you can eaily get this.
2.. Load win XP ( i installed professional Win XP)
3. now install ethernet driver so you can connect to internet via dsl or cabel modem now.
4. now open inernet explorer and in tools, click windows update.
5. restart your pc, keep on doing window update till there is no update available.
all update will not hapen in one time, may 3-4 times you have to do, it will install presty much all the drivers by it self, expcet modem and usb .
I am looking for that, i ams ure not tough to find but your PC is 99 % working condition now with win xp pro.

thx
VS

Go over to the "Peer to Peer" side. There is a thread about P205 switch from Vista to XP. There is a post in there from 11secrex1161. Contact him, he has all the drivers for the A135
