Team Fortress 2 > all

I pre-ordered my Orange box, and Team Fortress 2 is just as much fun as the original with alot more incentive to play cooperatively. The graphical enhancements are amazing and the lack of grenades gets rid of my one gripe about TFC. Nade spam was HORRENDOUS in that game. Although the engies could use either a better shotgun or EMP nades. The other classes seem pretty good and I'm glad the sentry guns have better animation. The cartoon graphics are a good change IMO from the original game and other games of its ilk. Definitely worth the $45 for the Orange Box pre-order.

I have also Pre-ordered the new box. I cant wait for Team Fortress 2, Half Life 2 Ep.2 and Portal.

The graphics on TM2 look really interesting. I like the new look of the characters and game is looking to be really fun. I do not know why some people are bitching that the graphics are not realistic. I mean the game is designed for fun and the graphics certainly bring that.

yeah, TFC wasn't very real looking. And TF2's new look breaks with the norm.

You are not the only one. I am actually waiting for UT3 more than any other game. (Besides StarCraft 2, Hellgate)

TF2 Beta is fun as hell.

209.160.77.100:27015 is the IP to a beta server.

Duke, if servers don't come up in the browser the first shot. Just tell it to stop the refresh and then click refresh all again. I'm guessing there's some bug with the game polling the master server.

So far it looks as though this "Beta" is the full game. Unlike the CS:S beta (which only had de_dust) or the QuakeWars open beta.

I don't know though, I'm liking this game ALOT more than I liked playing QuakeWars at QuakeCon. I think it's the lack of vehicles (and the lack of vehicle whoring) that makes it great.

Yeah i know i forgot Crysis it was on purpose. I would not judge Crysis until it comes out and proves itself. (at least to me since i know that StarCraft was a great game, Unreal is one of the best action games and Hellgate.....well the developers who made Diablo are making this one so nuff said.)

BTW has anyone been registered for the BETA on Crysis?

WIC rocks in my opinion.
Quake Wars looks interesting.

Is TF2 really like the original? I LOVED that game! (And before you say it yes I already married it.)

TF2's gameplay is largely unchanged from TFC. However the game scoring has changed slightly so you have more players playing Medic or Engineer that are actually helping teammates. The biggest change though is no more grenades. The demoman still has his launcher, but no hand tossed 'nades. Some classes that had several weapons have had the number they carry reduced. Like the heavy used to have 2 shotguns and his minigun. Now he has just the one. Engie no longer has the railgun but a conventional pistol and a six shot shotgun.

Soldiers can still rocket jump. And the last time I played TFC, the nade spam was horrendous. You don't miss em in TF2. Scouts get a double jump to make up for the lack of conc jumping.

Style-wise, is TF2 more like BF2 or CS:S? I have co-workers trying to get a clan going.
