wow!!! a tremendous thanks to you,qhn!! it seems the drivers needed were "hidden". but you have to know where to look...or have friendly people willing to help out others in a pickle!! i cannot thank you enough!

i've searched high and low and had the hardest time with the ethernet,sm bus,and video controllers. i still have trouble with the video controller.the device manager still has that exclamation point even though the graphics work. maybe using a built in vista stand by.

i also didn't know i could use vista drivers for xp...thanks for that info!

right now,i have a dual boot set up until i can get xp up to par.

i don't understand why toshiba made it so hard to find these drivers. i just purchased this laptop,but seeing this amount of trouble in finding xp drivers,i almost gave up and traded this in for a dell or something!!

again, thanks for saving my hide,my newfound friend!! lol

I have tried to install these drivers for instance "driver_realtek_26360A.exe" among others. I get a message as follows: "Error 0 running comand install.exe".

Any thoughts on what I need to do to get these drivers installed?

PS: I tried to Google the error message and did not seem to come up with any information on it.

saugen48 is cool enough to have people show up to his/her party!
If they work for the first reader who posted with an A215, then they should work for you if yours is an A215 as well

Ok Guys I Uploaded these Toshiba A215-s7444 Windows XP Drivers. You can now Download them at megaupload's website. Click on this link... http://www.megaupload.com/?d=PZFMKYGC ... Just enter the 3 letter code they provide and click download... I have them listed 1 -9 Please install them 1 at a time and in order and restart your laptop after each install. number 8 Driver is the wireless adapter and you will have to install it manually. Open Device Manager. Right-click on the network adapter, update driver and point to the file, all the other drivers have install or setup files. Thanks for letting me know about megaupload's website where I could upload these Drivers and share them with anyone who is looking for these hard to find Laptop Drivers. Shame on Toshiba for not making these available. But actually it is Microsoft that doesn’t want you to have these. They want to force everyone into using Windows Vista.................. .........PS: Go Cowboys

Some feed back on RickieyBoy's Drivers..... they work GREAT!!! The only exception i had was folder #8, everytime installed the Wireless Driver i saw the BSOD.... so i uninstalled and went hunting. The wireless driver that worked for me was:
http://drivers.softpedia.com/progDow...oad-23460.html
Now, i'm up and running.. everything working just fine!!! Thanks, RickieBoy for your post1!!! vbmenu_register("postmenu_2800810", true);

For the wireless drivers you can use windows update, that works good for the wireless and video drivers.

I'm working on a friends computer and have been going through hell trying to get XP on it. I did the dual boot and I have 2 drivers left, thanks to RickieyBoy I should be all set, THANK YOU!

Hi.... i have a toshiba A215 S7437 and i and willing to make the Xp downgrade... i was looking at the A215 S7444 specs and i saw that its identical to the S7437 specs , the difference is that my laptop doesnt have built in webcam... that leads me to think that those Xp drivers will do the work for me.... the problem is that i can download the archive from megaupload because i live in venezuela and the megaupload server has limited access to IP´s from venezuela... can someone upload those Xp drivers on another server... like rapidshare or filefactory.... thnxs in advance!!!
