installed the chipset drivers then used the xp drivers for the 1330 and manually linked it to the file

Hello, I'm new here. I had the same problem as you but I don't really know what you did here. Can you explain to me how you got your audio drivers to work in XP? I downloaded the 1330 drivers and had the same initial issue with it saying that what I had wasn't compatible. What do I need to do now? I'm really having some major issues and all I really want to do is play games in XP on my M1530. I've got the wireless card working and now found video drivers with the modified .inf file but I'm having trouble with the audio drivers. Please help if you can. Thanks in the meantime!

I'm sorry but I'm still having issues. I did what you said: I installed M1330 Chipset drivers found here:

http://support.dell.com/support/down...WLH&hidlang=en

The Chipset files were named R153997.EXE for the Intel Mobile Chipset and R141246.EXE for the Ricoh driver. I installed both of these.

Then I tried to install the Sigmatel Audio Drivers found on the same page found in the file R171789. When I double click on this file it says something like "Configuring Audio Configuration." Then it looks like it's going to install something by displaying a status bar but then quits out of the program without saying anything.

Do you know what's going on here? I assume that you've had the same issue seeing that you have an M1530 as well. Can you tell me what to do now? I know you said something about linking manually but I have no idea what that means. If you could spare the time to help me with my problem, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks again in advance.
