Our admins take the best and most objective laptop reviews and index them here to create a distinct selection of quality reviews with averaged overall ratings. Many of these reviews have benchmarks attached to them which allows for users to compare their laptop's performance with others, and ultimately enables us to provide a sortable list which at a glance show the fastest laptops amongst a variety of applications (gaming, video editing, web browsing, etc...). I played with one of these Gateway's two days ago at BB, and it's a nice computer. The keyboard feels crisp. And overall the model doesn't seem too thick. Congrats on teh new lappy!

Well I tried swapping my WUXGA display from my Dell E2705 and although the Dell display worked on the gateway, the Gateway display would not work on the Dell.

So ended up swapping them back.

Looks like i will have to pick up a WUXGA display off ebay. @ $200.00

Nice thread guys. I bought the wife one and she loves it even though she only plays the Sims 2 and photoshop on it. I benchmarked it and got 6769 on 06. Not bad

The cpu T7250 that you got GoHack, that will fit in the 6831 right?

The T7250 will fit on your laptop.

I also had problems with my Gateway LCD when I swapped it into my Dell so I guess it only goes one way. Dell must be picky.

My P-171S FX already has a T7250 in it.

Eventually I'll upgrade it, but for now the balance of speed and batter life suits me just fine.

-LuckTR- has a few people on his/her side.
Shield zone protection skin applied and fits just great. There is only one extra hole in the middle of the cover sheet for Gateway logo...
Well not on this one . It`s like Acer applied their policy to place branding in the lower corner instead of the middle aka Dell, Alienware etc.
Anyway, I already own shielzone product for my phone and it`s literally indestructible. Full package covers the lid and palm rest areas including touchpad with buttons.
