sorry if I am a nuisance but look here

http://www.tcmagazine.com/forums/ind...s&showfile=366

it seems a new driver is available and based on what I can read here

http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/...hp?t16952.html

it's even better than 169.04

perhaps a new horizon where directing the magnificent tweaks of NBF drivers?

I already tried 171.16, and frankly, they're immature. Definitely not something I'd want to release as MobileForce driver. Once the driver gets a couple of revisions under its belt, it should be more stable (performance is all over the place). Only then will I release a MobileForce version. Believe me when I say I'm keeping a close eye on it.

XenonG is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
My sister bought a Dell XPS M1530 with Intel Core 2 Duo T7500, and its packed with a NVIDIA GeForce 8600m GT with GDDR3, no el-cheapo version of DDR2 or GDDR2, yes, some manufacturers use DDR2, which is slower than GDDR2.

I told her to test it with NBF MobileForce 169.09 VS, and she got around 4600-4800 3DMark06 scores, varies around(We did a clean install if you might think it is bloatware problem, because it is not).
I will ask her to overclock her GPU and see what happens.

Yeah, that sounds about right Xenon.

A member on the forums here, mb67, has an M1530 with the following specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2Ghz (4MB Cache, 800Mhz FSB)
3GB RAM (667Mhz)
Nvidia 8600m (256MB)
250GB Hard Drive (5400rpm)

He managed 4304 in 3DMark06, so it sounds like things are right.

I'd recommend staying with 169.04 or 169.09 for the time being until a newer driver comes out that's worth attention.

We only release MobileForce drivers if the ForceWare drivers they're based on are quality drivers that improve over the previous driver. You'll notice that there hasn't been a MobileForce release since 169.09... That should tell you why.
