I'm not sure if someone already posted here, but I need help.
I have gateway 6860 FX laptop. And i was wondering if there is any software i can use to adjust the fan controls. Because sometimes when i play cod4 it takes it a long time to turn on, sometimes it doesn't even turn on. I was hoping there was a program that will enable me to let the fans run at 100% when I want them to. I don't want to damage my computer by overheating. Please help. |

Anyone know if I can upgrade with a T7400. Its a Merom cpu - not Merom-2048, but I assume the only difference is the Merom-2048 has less cache.

On the Upside the cooling is pretty good in the 6860. I'm running an x9000CPU and i get idle temps of 32/34 degrees and under gaming/benchmarking/stress i only get up to the mid 60's. On the GPU side i havent gotten over 74 degrees unless i'm running a hard core stress program (and you dont use those alot) Yes you can use a t7400, but why was that your choice over say a t8300/t9300 or something similiar? |

Hi!
This is my first post. I just replaced the T7250 in my daughter's computer with a T9500 CPU.
Is there any way to change the voltage to the CPU? Can't see any way in BIOS. Thanks for all the info. Mike Ledbetter |
