Would this work? would it be a big step up from the t9300 below?

http://cgi.ebay.com/Intel-T9500-Penr...QQcmdZViewItem

Will admit not all up on the laptop cores and such... but this seems like a fairly decent deal if it would work.

Newegg has the T9300 for $328

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...tel-_-19111001
I am not 100 percent sure the T9500 will work, the specs say 478 pin, and the T9300 say Socket P.

Not sure its the same thing

Even if it does work, the extra money for .1 gHz is definitely not worth it, even if you have money to burn.

I think you will need a pad, the spacing could be the problem, if there is too large a gap it will not cool properly

Well I applied paste to the northbridge, so far so good, I dont think there is a program that monitors the northbridge temp, but the gpu @50c and cpu @40c according to everest seem fine 2 me.

Time will tell, but you can verify proper contact by removing the heat pipe and checking the coverage on the chipset, and the copper plate. It should be even.

If there are gaps present then you better find a thermal pad soon.

I have found typically there is a small gap in these setups for the North/South bridge thus the Pads

I got a Phillps/LG screen from a E1705 series laptop. I had to modify the screen some what, in that the inverter bracket on the bottom was tacked into place.

I will post some pictures later today as I have to edit them first.

Seems just about any WUXGA screen will work on thiese laptops.

I know the samsung, screens work.

The screen I have in my E17-5 was easier to install as the inverter bracket was screwed into the bottom and came off much easier.
