Intel 2200 B/G not being recognized...

Hello,

I am running Dream Linux 2.2 (Debian-based) on my m5500 laptop, and I have a strange problem: Under Network Administration (The section for network adapters) I am seeing two ethernet NIC's and the dialup modem. I only have one ethernet NIC on my laptop, so it would seem that the other ethernet NIC should in fact be my wireless card. I have all of the ipw2200 packages downloaded to the system, yet when I run a iwconfig I get no wireless devices or extensions. Any thoughts on how I should proceed with this?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

cjcox is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
Do you have the ipw2200 firmwares installed? Like many devices, this one won't function without a firmware load.

Sorry I will come abck to this shortly if noone else has. Wireless is not my speciality, and I ahven't had a lot of time lately, so others should feel free to jump in here, otherwise I will see what I can help with this evening.
