NBF MobileForce VS 174.31 (32-Bit/64-Bit) DIRECT DOWNLOAD (32-Bit) DIRECT DOWNLOAD (64-Bit) MIRROR 1 (32-Bit) (NOT AVAILABLE, TO BE ADDED LATER) MIRROR 1 (64-Bit) (NOT AVAILABLE, TO BE ADDED LATER) Operating System: Microsoft Windows Vista 32-Bit/64-Bit Driver Version: 7.15.11.7431 NBF MobileForce Custom INF Tweaks Version: 6.10.101 Driver Date: 02/22/2008 Driver Size (32-Bit): 34,111,587 bytes (32.5MB) MD5 Hash (32-Bit): 9C8B33F563511CAC53DED7272148A26D Driver Size (64-Bit): 41,818,120 bytes (39.8MB) MD5 Hash (64-Bit): D6F2F218D2E51EFD6C686F4DCFE54C12 Please make sure you compare the MD5 Hash and Driver Size of the file you've downloaded to make sure you are getting a Genuine NBF MobileForce Driver, and not one that has been tampered with! ---Release Notes--- Wow, where to start! We finally have upon us, the FIRST MobileForce driver of 2008! It's been well into the making, and frankly, it's been too long. There have been improvements to the MobileForce tweaks since the last release, though nothing truly major or groundbreaking. The driver version/naming scheme for MobileForce drivers is going to be simplified from here on out, dropping the "M4" and "M6" designators, as they're fairly redundant. Overclocking with Dell GeForce 7-Series cards has changed, and has been exposed (see the MobileForce forum on NotebookForums.com for details on that) so once again, overclocking works, and as this driver, 174.31, seems to be a Mobile-Optimized driver, things are just that much better. Over 169.04/169.09, this driver has quite a few improvements, and definitely has some performance and visual quality advantages over its MobileForce predecessor. Take the driver for a spin, have fun, and report back!!! ---Other Information--- If you are updating your driver, please follow the directions in THIS THREAD. If you don't use follow these directions, and whine about problems with the driver not working properly, we're going to ask you to use follow these directions anyways, so please, update your driver properly . . . We will thank you later. Please post RESPONSIBLY!!! We will answer your question as soon as possible. All issues and/or concerns regarding this particular MobileForce driver are to be confined to this thread. Any other topics created regarding issues with this or any other driver will be REMOVED. Please, confine all discussion and feedback to this thread. It makes our job easier, and it makes it easier for others to view feedback on the driver release. ---Supported Video Devices--- Code:

read what the op wrote about the new drivers allowing software overclock with original GPU bios, and look for zzpulp's sig for link to bios etc
(edited as I saw Fennux had already posted this in the first post)

When I play game in resolutions other than 1920x1200, I keep getting the annoying icon saying display can be improved wanting me to change it back to 1920x1200.

If I flash my BIOS to stock clocks, will I find that the nVidia control panel on these drivers has overclocking built in? Or will I need to use RivaTuner/Ati Tool?

You'll need to use RivaTuner/ATiTools/nTune to overclock.

Fenuxx, thanks for the quick reply...
I actually JUST flashed the card (7800 GTX go) to unlock the clocks...is this new situation with overclocking-built-into-drivers here to stay? Do you forsee all of the upcoming drivers including this same capability? Does it make sense for me to flash back to stock speeds? I am on 169.04 and Vista right now and they run very stable... thanks! |

No one knows for sure how long this will last (stock BIOS usable to overclock) but for now, it works. Right now, I suggest doing what works for you. If you're happy with 169.04, stick with them.
One caveat, however, is that Windows Vista SP1 is upon us, and I've noticed that pre-SP1 drivers sometimes are finicky with SP1 machines, which is why I'm glad this driver came out, because I've had no "weird issues" with Vista SP1 and this driver.

SP1 has been released, but not "officially" to the public, but was finalized and "Released to Manufacturing" (RTM'ed) in February. I got it by other means, but SP1 will be delivered via Windows Update sometime in April.

The best option I can guess would be to remove the NVIDIA Tray icon from your system tray.
