I can't get into the recovery partion on boot to reinstall windows vista home. the system is a compaq persario c500 laptop. I rang compaq in new zealand where I live they said "no not for your country will we giver you recovery discs".. So my only option is to be able to some how load the recovery partition and exacute a file?? to reinstall windows vista,
Windows vista will not load at all, so the recovery partition I need

I have fixed this system.. hiting F2 when one normally would hit F8 for boot options and going into tools seemed to fix the system. It now dual boots with Ubuntu just fine..

If a mod could please mark this thread as Solved I would be greatful.
