Buying the best gaming laptop

I am about to purchase a new laptop. I want a 17" screen and I want the best laptop out there. I'm selling a couple laptops on ebay right now and will use that cash, plus some other money I have to get it. I'll get about 2000.00 for my 17" Macbook Pro and about 550.00 for my Dell Inspiron 6400. So that's about 2550.00 plus about 2500 to 3000 I can use of my savings for a total of about 5050 to 5550. I have had some great advice from forum members in the past and look forward to hearing your input.

Oh and I have looked at Alienware, VoodooPC, FalconNW and they seem to me to be overpriced for what you actually get. But I am open to all suggestions.

Looking for a true desktop replacement. I want it to be able to handle whatever I throw at it. I would like to play games like Crysis (yeah yeah I know its a hog), bio, WOW, warhammer online (beta test), CS, Guildwars, RTS like C&C, etc.

Sager, Rock Computers (European comp), PC MicroWorks, Hypersonic... All of these companies should be cheaper than the ones you have looked at with Sager being the bigger company out of the others.

PS There is also dell

for the best gaming notebook, you'll want something with the 8800M GTX graphics card. Currently, Dell, Alienware, and Sager sell them. Gateway also sells one with the 8800M GTS, which isn't too far off.

Attention!!! You Can Save A Bunch Of Money If You Buy Gateway P-6831fx 2.4ghz T7700 With 8800gts 3dmark06 8425 That Is Mine Now Without Overclocking. Comparing With A Laptop 8800gtx You Search Around Its 3dmark06 Around 9200-9800 That's Just Increase 2-3 In Fps.

Is it the 9700M Gt or the 9700M GTS? From what I've read there's a big difference in performance between the two ....the 9700MGT is really a newer 8700MGt with a faster clock where as the GTS model is more on par with the 8800gts... I've read two articles about the new Qosimo one says 9700 Gt and one says GTS....I'm hoping for a GTS becuase I don't think my budget will quite squeeze to the 1GB 9800gtx.....Can any one else confirm?????

If I had that money I would get an alienware m15x. Get the gaming set up and get 4gb memory. that would keep me happy for 7 years
