Best cpu upgrade for a VGN-A417M
Hi there. my first post.
Does anyone know the best processor i can fit in my vaio vgn-a417m laptop? I currently have a pentium m 750 inside. cpu-z reports it is a dothan core, socket 479mPGA, running at 1860mhz on a 915pm/gm express chipset. I would love to fit a dual core cpu of some sort, core 2 duo perhaps but am aware that the c2d would probably only work on a different chipset, even tho the c2d on my inspiron 9400 says it is a socket 479mPGA. Any hints or pointers gratefully recieved. |
