Question Smart Bay stuff??

Does anyone have any idea when the "smart bay" addons will be ready to purchase? I am talking about the extra hard drive and/or battery modules that fit into the smart bay.

They've been ready for a long time. They just don't advertise them on their web site. You have to call AW Customer Service. They'll hook you up. See my sig.

Note: If you're wanting to buy a Smart Bay hard drive make sure you get the carriage/tray for it as well.

I read in ur sig that you got multiple OS running, are you triple booting? I'm trying to install Vista 64bit, it got V32 running, but cant seem to dual boot with V64, wont read off CD... How did you do it?

Actually my sig shows that I have three diff laptops and they are all running Vista, though I am toying with the idea of adding XP pro back to my Dell so I can use it. Probably won't since I will most likely sell the Dell XPS M1210 soon.

As my sig says, I have *2* 250GB drives running on my m15x simultaneously. XP on one hard drive (the Smart Bay), Vista 32-bit and SuSE Linux 10.3 64-bit on the other (inside).

You need to use an external USB DVD drive to install to a dual-internal hard drive system for the Smart Bay drive.

Learn how to control your BIOS configuration.

It worked for me.

The 320GB 7200 drive is about $163. The Smart Bay hard drive enclosure runs about $16.
