trying to understand batterys

Hi,
I have went thru a pile of bad oem hp batterys. Most will not charge but 2 of them will try. and will run my zv5470 hp for about 15 min. I downloaded the mobile meter program and it shows that both of these batteries are at 0 percent wear level. When they charge they don't like if at all go after 3 percent charged by the hp power meter and the chargeing light on the front of the laptop blinks. The charge indicator shows chargeing on and off and not steady. By the mobile meter the remaining watage stays low compared to the designed capacity. But the full charge capacity shows about 800,000 mwh more then the designed capacity. This is what confuses me and I think confuses the laptop. Anybody know why this shows such a high capacity? Can it be repaired? Shocked into spec of something? I believe that both of these batteries that show this are new. I'm trying to understand how this batteries work and the reading they show. By the way. These are all oem batterys. I do have 1 good battery that works perfect so machine is good.
Thanks,
Larry
