Question Asus A2500D Reboot Problem

Sysytem froze & shutdown. When attempting to restart computer it comes up with:
Pri Master Ultra DMA Mode 5, S.M.A.R.T. capable but command failed. F2 to continue which leads to BIOS Set Up Facility. Unable to get past this stage?

in your BIOS, see if you can set the access speed of your hard drive. Modern hard drives run in what's called Direct Memory Access (DMA) mode. Your computer is telling you that even though the drive "says" it can run at that speed, it's not running at that speed. If you can change the mode to the slower PIO (Programmed Input/Output) in BIOS, then you may be able to get into your operating system and try to fix the problem from there.
