hi, i have just been asked to look at a medion mim 2230 to find out why it wont start. the owner told me that it had been working on and off for a while sometimes it would start and sometimes would not. sometimes if he wiggled the connector going into the back of the laptop it would work but now it is dead. i thought it would be a loose connector inside so i stripped the laptop down and found the dc in socket is not loose so either power is not going in or the mainboard is dead. what i need to find out is how to test the dc in socket to see if it is working and how to test the mainboard and find out which one is at fault.
I have tested the charger and that is ok. i also tried another identicle charger and that did not help either.
can anyone help please .
