It is crazy, if it is so, then how do they justify for selling a model with blu-ray for an extra $200?

cheers ...

How's the blu-ray software?

I ordered this option too (hopefully get it next week). I think Blu-ray market is finally gathering some steam.

That's true, my order form shows Cyberlink Power DVD for Blu-ray, but also Roxio software for some reason.

Yeah, I recommend checking out the blu-ray.com for reviews. They go into detail about the quality of the transfer of the video, and sound. Some Blu-rays can look exceptionally good, while others really aren't much better than DVD.

I'm also looking for 9.5mm Blu-ray for my 6400 but no luck, i've seen Dell sell one now but the price is insane
http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/p...chassisid=8613
Dell Spare Parts even worse $1095.00, eBay doesn't have any 9.5mm Blu-ray Drive either

I have seen from time to time the 9.5 high Blu ray drive for the Leveno w400/w500 laptop on Ebay

they were priced around $ 400.00

From what I can see comparing the pictures they are the same

Regarding the IBM Blu Ray Drive, which I ordered for under 400 on ebay and have in my hands...

1. Yes it is the Panasonic UJ232A
2. It is the same form factor
3. It has a plastic piece on the back that screws off, you then take the mounting bracket off your exisiting drive on the M6400 and screw it in its place
4. However - the Lenovo faceplate for this drive extends beyond the edge of the M6400. I find it annoying enough to put the other drive back in until I can get a M6400 UJ232A faceplate. Any ideas on part numbrs would be nice.

Hope this helps.

Bezel problem solved

Hello

I bought this recorder from ebay, manufactured from Lenovo, and I found the same problem as you, but I've solved, I bought on ebay a standard 9.5mm bezel and now fits perfectly

http://cgi.ebay.es/Slot-load-12-7mm-...d=p3286.c0.m14

This ebayer has 3 different 9.5mm bezels, you can choose bezel #3.

Regards
