Hi,, been told by acer tech guy that the 5630 has a sata drive, yet I removed an ide unit, which has died due to shock damage, but has worked ok in the past. Which is correct? Ide or sata? are these interchangeable? sata are cheaper too! Tthanx folks!

the aspire laptop 5630 should be IDE, as is the Aspire M5630 desktop,

the laptops...Travelmate 5630z, and Extensa 5630 should be sata.

confusing, yes, I know.
