Vista SP2 - issues, fixes, work-around

. Vista Home Premium 64 bits:

- side bar analog clock would stop working now and then

- remove from sidebar, then reinstall would work for a day or 2, then problem re-occurs.

- this issue was known (KB943544)
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/KB943544
but was supposedly fixed with SP1

- applied the "uncheck Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time" trick at the moment.

- clock stopped after 10 minutes.

- another "digital" clock gadget works!????

- no issue with other Vista SP2 32 bits systems

cheers ...

False alarm on above post.

It was the setting of DPI that killed the clock. At full WUXGA, I need to stay away from "custom DPI" that is larger than the default large DPI option.

No issue so far with SP2.

cheers ...
