br2 is a n00b, but everyone loves n00bs!
9280 relative performance

I'm sure there lots of gaming oriented reviews to be had.

Here's what's important to me:

It's twice as fast as the machine it's replacing. !!! Literally.

The old one is a 9261, dual 3.0 Ghz, 4Gb, Raid0 7200.
New one is 975 chip, 6Gb, Raid0 Ssd.

Building a large project, sevral modules and web site. 100+ files.
27-30 seconds on the old one.
12-15 seconds on the new one.

Unfortunately I couldn't load Server 03 on the new machine, had to use Server 08. Not as much a pig as Vista but just as annoying.

And Visual Studio 08 is getting to be as bloated as Office.
I'm getting more and more tempted to dump everything for *nix... But we're way off topic now.
